Author of the book “Peaces: Poetry & Prose”, Ramanda discovered her passion for writing as a young child seeking a voice. Her experience spans multiple categories including poetry, technical writing, business writing, media production, directing, editing, voiceovers, and scripting. Ramanda received a B.A. in Communication Studies-Journalism at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), and M.B.A in Marketing from Saint Leo University in Florida. She received the President’s Award from the Kansas City Association of Black Journalists and recognition as a Shear Fellow of the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life. Ramanda is Co-Founder of Be A Bridge & Elevate (BABE), which uplifts women and connects communities to resources. She has three children and proudly calls Kansas City, Missouri, home.
